serving locally

Serving is in the DNA of Vista. We strive to live to serve God through serving others. When we are able to serve in and around our community, we believe the body of Christ is built up. Here are some ways we serve and have served in the past.

  • Monthly water deliveries to teachers of CISD
  • Bags of blessings to CISD students in need
  • Partner with MannaWorks in Waco, TX - an non-profit helping to get homeless men off of the streets by providing construction services to other Waco non-profits
  • Support Still Waters through volunteers and monetary donations

serving globally

Serving outside of our community is just as important to Vista as serving in it is. A pillar of Vista Church is church planting. In 2017 Vista supported 7 church plants all over the world get started, all for the mission of spreading God's word and love to those who need it.

Throughout the year, Vista plans to have different opportunities for members to travel internationally to serve. Stay tuned for updates for 2018/2019 travel opportunities!

The big give

One of our favorite moments of the year is The Big Give. One Sunday in December, our entire offering will be given to missions endeavors outside of ourselves. In 2017 those mission endeavors were: helping the homeless, serving teenage mothers, families starting new churches, helping a local family start fresh, and aid in the recovery effort from Hurricane Harvey.

Our goal was to raise $50, 000 in that one offering on December 3rd, and God provided a miracle. $69,207 was given that day, all to go and spread the love of God and his mission. Click here to watch the live reveal of the grand total!
